Astroscale Holdings said its UK subsidiary, Astroscale Ltd (ASUK), has won a new defence contract from the UK Ministry of Defence worth £15mn before tax, or ¥3.12bn at the company's conversion rate. The company gave the news in a timely disclosure dated September 30, 2026.
What the contract says
The customer is the UK Ministry of Defence. The term is described only as multiyear, and the agreement was settled and signed on September 29, 2026, UK time. The yen figure uses an exchange rate of ¥208.54 to the pound as of September 29, 2026.
The services are not disclosed. Astroscale said the details are withheld at the customer's requirement. The disclosure gives no mission, deliverable or payment schedule.
The guidance catch
Astroscale said the contract is not included in the assumptions behind its consolidated forecast for the year ending April 2027. It expects revenue from the deal to be booked across several fiscal years, and it is still examining the effect on the forecast.
That means the full £15mn should not be read as a single-year addition to the current outlook. The company has not said how much revenue will fall in any year, or whether it will revise guidance.
