Star Seeds Estimates ¥13.1bn From Korean Server Order, 10% or More of Last Year's Sales

Star Seeds' subsidiary will supply 200 servers to a Korean data center, with estimated sales of ¥13.1bn excluding a separate storage leg, but the company withholds counterparties and prices and leaves its forecast unchanged.

Star Seeds Digital, a consolidated subsidiary of Tokyo-listed Star Seeds, decided on October 8, 2026 to buy and sell servers for a South Korean data center. The company estimates sales of about $82.93mn (¥13.1bn), which it expects to be 10% or more of its consolidated sales in the previous fiscal year.

The subsidiary previously announced a server-product transaction on April 24, 2026. The new order covers 200 servers, spares included, plus transport and installation in Korea and three years of maintenance.

Two legs, one excluded

The deal has two stages. In the first, the subsidiary buys solid-state storage from three suppliers (two in Tokyo, one in Southeast Asia) and sells it to a server maker in Southeast Asia, with delivery from October to December 2026. In the second, it buys finished servers and services from two suppliers (one in Tokyo, one in South Korea) and sells them to a Korean buyer in AI infrastructure. Delivery runs from December 2026 to January 2027, excluding five test units. Both legs are paid in cash by bank transfer. The ¥13.1bn estimate leaves out the storage leg.

What is withheld

Star Seeds names no counterparties and does not give purchase or sale prices, so margins cannot be worked out. The notice says the counterparties have no capital or personnel ties to the company and are not related parties, though some already trade server products with the subsidiary.

Star Seeds says the deal is already in its forecast for the year ending February 2027, issued on April 17, so guidance is unchanged. The estimate is a sales figure, not booked revenue or profit.
