IRISO ELECTRONICS CO., LTD., the Yokohama-based maker of electronic connectors, told the Tokyo Stock Exchange on July 30 that it still cannot say when it will publish either of two overdue earnings reports. Both the company's results for the year ended March 2026 and its figures for the quarter that followed remain stuck behind an investigation that a third-party committee has not finished.
The committee is examining suspected improper cash payments made by one of IRISO's overseas subsidiaries. It is also checking for other accounting problems and separately reviewing potential quality and inspection issues at the company, according to the notice.
IRISO had already pushed back the deadline for filing its full annual securities report for the year to March 2026, moving it to September 30, 2026, as it disclosed on June 30. Because that filing and its audit are not complete, the audit work covering the following quarter cannot proceed either. As a result, the quarterly earnings release, ordinarily due within 45 days of quarter-end, is also delayed.
The company apologized to shareholders, investors and business partners for the inconvenience but gave no new timetable. It said it would announce firm dates once the third-party committee completes its review and the outstanding accounting and audit procedures can be finished.
For a connector supplier feeding into automotive and electronics manufacturing, an open-ended reporting freeze spanning both a full-year filing and a live quarter is the kind of governance signal that trading partners and buyers tracking component quality will want closed out, well before any findings become public.
