Ikegami Tsushinki postpones interim results as cyberattack leaves accounting servers isolated

Ikegami Tsushinki has postponed its 12 November interim results after isolating accounting servers following unauthorized access, saying full system recovery will take time and that it will announce a new date once one is decided.

Ikegami Tsushinki has postponed the interim results it had scheduled for 12 November 2026, saying the cyberattack disclosed on 30 September has delayed its closing of the books and its auditor's review. The notice gives no new date.

The TSE Standard-listed electrical equipment maker covers the six months of the year to March 2027. In a notice dated 8 October, it said unauthorized access by a third party forced it to shut down its main internal systems. To limit damage, it also cut the servers holding accounting-related data off from the network.

That isolation is the operational link to the delay. The company said it is working to restore the servers and network, but expects full system recovery to take "a certain amount of time". It cited that expected duration as the reason for the postponement.

The company will announce a new date promptly once it is decided, and said the date depends on progress in restoring its systems as a whole. The notice gives no target for that recovery.

On financial impact, Ikegami said it will disclose promptly any matter that warrants disclosure once it has examined the effect of the incident on earnings. The notice gives no loss estimate and does not say what data was affected. The company apologized to shareholders and other stakeholders for the inconvenience.

Tokyo Brief earlier covered the incident in Ikegami Tsushinki says data apparently held by the company is on an attacker's leak site. The new notice adds a concrete reporting consequence: a postponed interim results date with no replacement.
