coconala's board on October 7 approved buying 510 shares of Acrosstudio, 51% of its issued shares, for ¥867mn. The company expects the transfer to complete on October 30, 2026. Acrosstudio is a Shibuya firm that sells AI consulting and AI development.
The price
The ¥867mn covers the shares. Advisory costs, estimated at ¥5mn, bring the approximate total to ¥872mn. The sellers are five individuals who asked not to be named, and the notice withholds Acrosstudio's major shareholders at the counterparty's request. coconala and Acrosstudio had no capital, personnel or trading ties before the deal.
What coconala is getting
Acrosstudio was founded in July 2021 and had 63 staff in September 2026, more than 70% of them consultants and AI engineers. It lists a trading house, a large property group and a large beverage maker among its enterprise clients.
Its sales were ¥162mn, ¥630mn and ¥1.13bn in the years to June 2024, 2025 and 2026. Operating profit was ¥6mn, ¥0mn and ¥46mn, and net profit ¥6mn, ¥1mn and ¥6mn. At June 30, 2026, net assets were ¥22mn and total assets ¥325mn. These are past results, not guidance.
The plan
coconala says it has more than 620,000 corporate clients and 1.4 million skill registrants, and began taking AI engineer and AI consultant registrations in July 2026. It created an in-house AI company unit on September 1, 2026. It plans to make Acrosstudio the core of that unit and extend into AI business process outsourcing. The notice does not say how many of the 620,000 corporate clients are active.
coconala expects to consolidate Acrosstudio from the first quarter of the year ending August 2027. It is still assessing the effect on that year's results and says it will reflect it in its next forecast.
