Ispace has signed Mitsubishi Heavy Industries to launch its ULTRA lunar lander on the H3 rocket in 2028, keeping the contract price confidential and deferring the cost until liftoff.
ispace,inc.'s Luxembourg unit will build, run and ship a lunar rover for the European Space Agency's water-ice mission under a ¥12bn add-on deal already counted in the company's current revenue forecast, though the value of the two earlier contract stages remains undisclosed.
NASA and Draper mutually cancelled the CLPS CP-12 lunar-transport task order on July 9, and ispace's US subsidiary now expects its own lander subcontract with Draper to follow suit, though the Tokyo-listed company says it already excluded that revenue from its forecast for the year to March 2027 back in March.
