Wel-Dish. Incorporated, a TSE Standard-listed food company (code 2901), said on 14 October 2026 that its results summary for the year ended August 2026 will not come within 50 days of year-end. The company had scheduled the release for 15 October.
The annual results depend on a third-quarter report that has never been published. In a notice dated 14 July, Wel-Dish said the departure of its accounting auditor meant the audit firm could not complete the interim review of its third-quarter results. The company says that remains the situation.
Corrections to earlier years
Wel-Dish said it received and published a report from an independent investigation committee, with notices dated 4 August and 10 August. It is checking its accounting for prior years and the current year against that report and assessing the effect on its figures. See also Earlier Tokyo Brief coverage.
The company said it plans to correct past results. It has not yet fixed which fiscal periods will be restated, what the corrections will be, or their financial impact. It will make the necessary disclosures once the corrections are finalised.
A new auditor, but no timetable
On 21 September, Wel-Dish appointed an audit firm as its provisional accounting auditor, and that audit is under way. The company cited the unpublished third-quarter results, the checks on accounting treatment and the provisional auditor's procedures as the reasons it will miss the 50-day mark.
The sequence runs one way. Wel-Dish says it will publish the third-quarter results once it completes the necessary checks and the interim review, and then the annual results once the figures are settled. It gives no disclosure date for either, nor a timing for the restatements. It says it will announce dates when they are fixed.
The notice describes the 50-day mark as the point at which disclosure is delayed. It does not say whether any exchange consequence follows.
