Cuorips' ReHeart Wins Japan Insurance Listing at ¥53.2mn Per Treatment

Cuorips, the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market company trading under ticker 4894, said Japan's health ministry has added its heart-failure therapy ReHeart to the national health insurance price schedule, effective September 1, 2026. The listing was published through an official gazette notification from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

The ministry set the reimbursement price at ¥53.2mn per treatment. ReHeart is indicated for severe heart failure caused by ischemic cardiomyopathy in patients whose condition has not responded adequately to standard therapy, including drug treatment and invasive procedures. That restricts the approved population to patients who have already gone through conventional care without sufficient relief, not a broader heart-failure cohort.

Regulators classified ReHeart under category C2, the designation for new function and new technology, and priced it using the cost-calculation method. On top of the calculated base, the ministry applied a marketability premium (Category I) of 10% and a premium coefficient of 1.0.

Cuorips, which has been developing ReHeart in-house, said the earnings effect of the listing is already built into the full-year consolidated forecast it published on July 28, 2026, and that it will issue a prompt disclosure if that forecast needs revising. The company gave no figures for expected patient numbers, participating hospitals, or a revised profit estimate beyond that reference to the existing guidance.

The reimbursement listing clears a regulatory hurdle for commercial billing, but it does not by itself tell investors how many treatments will be delivered this fiscal year. Cuorips has not disclosed a rollout timetable or updated volume assumptions beyond confirming the current forecast already accounts for the listing.
