A former accountant at Mikuni's Taiwan subsidiary moved company funds into a personal account for years, and the discovery has forced the Tokyo auto-parts maker to correct five annual securities reports plus eight half-year and quarterly filings.
Mikuni’s June 26 disclosures were less about annual sales than about governance: the supplier said reporting controls were ineffective after repeated unauthorized transfers at Taiwan Mikuni, and the amendments reach back to the year ended March 2021.
