Quantum Solutions Co.,Ltd. (TSE: 2338) said on September 10, 2026 that it completed the first installment of US$8,300,000 on a GPU-server acquisition contract signed September 7 for its AI infrastructure and AI datacenter (AIDC) business. The payment equals about 13.6% of the contract's total value, US$60,985,056. Funding came from cash on hand raised through an August 7 third-party share allotment, which also included stock acquisition rights and convertible bonds with a conversion-price reset clause, plus proceeds from crypto-asset sales the group made between June and August 2026.

The equipment's supplier remains unnamed. Quantum Solutions describes it only as a single Kanto-region business that sells, builds, and supports AI infrastructure products. Before releasing the payment, the company obtained a fresh Teikoku Databank credit report dated September 9 and completed a final credit and compliance review that the contract sets as a precondition for payment. The contract includes a refund clause if the supplier ultimately cannot procure and deliver the machines.
The disclosure also corrects language from the September 7 announcement, in which Quantum Solutions said the supplier held the target GPU servers "in stock and able to supply." The company now says that phrase did not mean the supplier already held all of the multiple target GPU servers as physical inventory stockpiled in advance. It meant the supplier has procurement allocation and supply capacity through upstream channels. Quantum Solutions acknowledges the original wording "was not necessarily clear and could have been misleading".
No servers have been delivered or installed. Quantum Solutions targets delivery to a datacenter in Osaka Prefecture around November 2026, and says the impact on results for the fiscal year ending February 2027, covering depreciation, financing and commercial terms with customers, remains under review.
