Okano Valve raised its forecasts for the year to September 2026 after nuclear plant work came in above plan. The board approved the revision on October 21, 2026, replacing guidance issued on April 22.
What moved
Consolidated operating profit is now forecast at ¥2.6bn, against ¥1.95bn before. Sales are forecast at ¥11.52bn, up from ¥10.0bn, a 15.2% increase. Net profit attributable to owners of the parent is forecast at ¥1.735bn, from ¥1.4bn. The previous year's operating profit was ¥864mn on sales of ¥7.006bn.
Extra work and earlier work
The notice gives two kinds of sales driver. Additional orders arose in periodic inspection work at Shimane Nuclear Power Station Unit 2. Separately, Okano Valve cites Fukushima Daiichi decommissioning-related work and the bringing forward of projects tied to Kashiwazaki-Kariwa Unit 7. The notice does not say how much of the sales increase comes from each.
On profit, the company points to high-margin additional orders in statutory inspections at nuclear plants, and to flexible staffing that kept utilization high. Naming work tied to these reactor units does not mean any restart or commissioning has taken place; the notice makes no such claim.
Dividend
The year-end dividend forecast rises to ¥70 a share from ¥40, taking the annual forecast to ¥110 from ¥80. An interim dividend of ¥40 is already recorded. The company paid ¥60 for the previous year. Okano Valve says the forecasts rest on information available on October 21 and may differ from final results.
