Hodogaya Chemical Co., Ltd. (TSE: 4112) said its South Korean consolidated subsidiary, SFC CO., LTD., filed an application for preliminary listing review with the Korea Exchange (KRX) on July 24, 2026, targeting the KOSPI market. The Tokyo-listed chemicals maker disclosed the filing on July 27, framing it as a progress update on a plan it first flagged to the market on September 30, 2025, when it said SFC had begun preparing for a stock listing.
That is as far as the disclosure goes. Hodogaya was explicit about the gaps still ahead: any listing depends on approval from South Korean regulatory authorities, and the company has not decided the timing of a listing or which market board SFC would ultimately list on. The filing is a procedural step, a request for the exchange to review SFC's eligibility, not a green light to trade.
Hodogaya did not disclose SFC's financials, a prospective share count, or valuation in this notice. The company said it will make further announcements as the preliminary review moves forward and any disclosable developments arise. For now, the only confirmed fact is the July 24 filing date and the open question of what South Korean regulators decide next.
