eBASE Co., the Osaka-based enterprise software maker listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange's Prime market, is paying a dividend twice a year for the first time since it went public. A board resolution on September 1, 2026 replaced the company's single annual payout with an interim and a year-end dividend. The amount shareholders collect for the year to March 2027 does not change, only when they get it.

Under the previous forecast, published in May 2026, holders would have received nothing until year-end, when the full ¥15.20 per share was due. The revised schedule splits that same total into two equal ¥7.60 installments.

eBASE said its earnings are weighted toward the fourth quarter, which has historically left shareholders waiting the better part of a year to see how the full-year payout would land. The board also cited what it called growing expectations from individual investors for more flexible and timely capital return as a reason to add a mid-year payment.

The ¥7.60 interim dividend goes to shareholders of record on September 30 each year and breaks down into a ¥6.10 ordinary dividend plus ¥1.50 of a ¥3.00-per-share commemorative dividend marking the company's 25th anniversary since founding; the remaining ¥6.10 ordinary and ¥1.50 commemorative amounts land with the year-end payment. Added together, the ordinary dividend stays at ¥12.20 and the anniversary dividend at ¥3.00, matching the ¥15.20 annual figure eBASE guided to back in May.

The board relied on Article 459(1) of the Companies Act, which lets a company's articles of incorporation authorize dividend payments by board resolution rather than a shareholder vote at each distribution. That provision is what let eBASE add a mid-year record date without calling an extraordinary shareholder meeting. September 30, 2026 is now the first date on which the new interim payment applies, with the balance due at the fiscal year-end in March 2027.
