Air Water's revised report to the Tokyo Stock Exchange shows the board restructuring complete, but internal audit has 25 people against a target of 52 and the probe into executive liability is not due to finish until December.
Air Water shareholders approved a move to an audit-and-supervisory-committee board on September 22, 2026, and the board separately named an independent outside director as chair, but the president and a fellow board nominee were approved with only about 86% support, well below the 96% to 98% every other candidate received.
Air Water is screening every subsidiary in its group on strategic fit, financial performance and governance, and says businesses judged better suited to a different owner will be transferred promptly, with proceeds funding both extra shareholder payouts and ongoing growth investment.
