148 employees took Takara Bio's voluntary retirement offer against a target of about 120, lifting the one-off charge to ¥1.71bn, while the delisted biotech signs a basic agreement to hand its GMP cell-processing business to a Sumitomo Chemical and Sumitomo Pharma joint venture ahead of a target final contract in October.
