Infomart Corporation, the Tokyo Prime-listed operator of a business-to-business trading platform for the food and restaurant trade, disclosed on August 18, 2026 that Oasis Management Company Ltd. has become a major shareholder after building its position past the 10% voting threshold.
The Cayman Islands-based investment manager held 260,532 voting units, equal to 26,053,200 shares and 9.77% of Infomart's voting rights, as of August 3, 2026. Four days later, on August 7, Oasis's holding had risen to 292,532 voting units, or 29,253,200 shares and 10.97%. Infomart said it learned of the increase only after Oasis filed an amended large-shareholding report with the Kanto Local Finance Bureau on August 17.
Infomart flagged what the filing does not settle: the company said it has not independently confirmed how many shares Oasis actually holds beneficially, and it could not verify where the fund now ranks among Infomart's largest shareholders. The notice itself is procedural, required automatically once a holder's stake crosses 10%, and Infomart said it has nothing further to add about its outlook.
That leaves the practical questions open. Tuesday's filing states only the mechanics of the crossing: how much stock changed hands and when. It says nothing about whether Oasis intends to keep buying, or whether it plans to press Infomart's management on strategy or capital allocation.
